SNL
So I don’t know whether to blame SNL’s sound engineers or Sleigh Bells for the awful performance. I’m inclined to say it’s the sound people because The Strokes sounded weak when they played last year.
Bands that are meant to be heard at an incredibly loud volume end up with way too much space between guitars, drums and vocals. The result is a wimper rather than a roar.

Reign of Terror
Perhaps I let too much ride on this new Sleigh Bells album, but so far I am underwhelmed. Then again, I’m more partial to the big beats, sick guitar hooks and wink-and-a-nudge lyrics of their first album. Maybe I will warm up to it? This one is pretty slow moving with the exception of a handful of killer songs.

Superbowl
Is it possible for both teams to lose? Boring, been there, done that. Brady doesn’t need another ring, Giants are overrated.

Silent Rage
How is there not rioting in the streets over SOPA and PIPA?
We already live in Big Brother’s world with smart phones and whatnot. We just sit back and let people with money take away our liberties one at a time.
Not today, fuckwads.

Dear God
Please smite Tim Tebow, so I never have to hear his name ever again. The Pats are licking their chops at their potential match-ups. Either result is like kicking an injured, sick puppy.

Orwellian Bullshit
We willingly give ourselves to the government because we’re all addicted to social networking and shiny devices. There is no one to blame but ourselves. Brilliant that the ego and psyche itself are exploited for information. Information is power. Sometimes I wish I could go back to the 90s. Live off the grid, so to speak. But for now, I’ve got my smart phone in my pocket, sending a...
